The company attaches particular importance to ecological aspects such as solar cells to supply the site.<\/p>\n<p>The focus is also increasingly on more environmentally friendly aspects when it comes to the materials and construction methods of commercial vehicles, and here, too, Daimler Truck is investing in Saxony-Anhalt.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/daimlertruckag\/\">Daimler Truck AG<\/a>\u00a0has already been working with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/thermhex-waben-gmbh\/\">ThermHex Waben GmbH<\/a>\u00a0since 2020 on the development of special sandwich materials and components (metal-plastic hybrid) in a joint project with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/elringklinger\/\">ElringKlinger<\/a>\u00a0AG, Edevis GmbH and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/fraunhofer-institute-for-microstructure-of-materials-and-systems-imws\/\">Fraunhofer Institute for Microstructure of Materials and Systems IMWS<\/a>\u00a0in Halle.<\/p>\n<p>Briefly explained: The sandwich materials <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/econcore\/\">EconCore<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/thermhex-waben-gmbh\/\">ThermHex Waben GmbH<\/a>\u00a0have developed with a lightweight honeycomb support core enable particularly high-performance and cost-efficient lightweight solutions. Weight savings of up to 80 percent can be achieved. What\u2019s more, these materials are particularly sustainable because they can be recycled.<\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/fraunhofer-institute-for-microstructure-of-materials-and-systems-imws\/\">Fraunhofer Institute for Microstructure of Materials and Systems IMWS<\/a>\u00a0Halle, large-scale production solutions are being developed for our cost-efficient and resource-saving materials.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have now achieved a leading position in Saxony-Anhalt with the development of our innovative lightweight materials\u201d resumes Dr. Ing.
